We recommend you arrive thirty minutes prior to curtain, especially if you have tickets at Will Call. The lobby opens an hour before curtain. While you wait for the play to begin you can browse our pop-up Shop in the Elevator bookstore or check out our concessions bar, offering light snacks and beverages, including wine, beer, and specialty cocktails.
Performances begin promptly. Latecomers will be seated at the House Manager’s discretion. Due to the intimate size of Studio’s theatres, we must seat latecomers in the most readily accessible seats. For some of our intimate shows in Stage 4, we will be unable to seat late patrons once the show has begun. NOTE: As a courtesy to your fellow audience members, re-admittance to the theatre may be delayed at the discretion of the house manager.
All of our theatres are fully accessible. Studio Theatre strives to make its performances and facilities accessible to all our patrons. Due to the intimate size of Studio’s theatres, we have a limited number of accessible seats; please indicate any special needs when purchasing tickets.

If you misplace your tickets, visit the Box Office on your performance date and we will reprint your tickets. If you lose an entire set of subscription tickets, stop by the Box Office or call 202.332.3300 to request reprints of your subscription tickets. It may take as long as 24 hours to reprint a set of subscription tickets.
By the week before opening, the running time for each show will be listed on the show page, accessible in the Plays section of our website and clicking on the production you will attend. Alternatively, you can call the Box Office at 202.332.3300.
We love introducing young persons to live theatre. Studio produces plays that reflect the contemporary world, and our plays frequently contain adult content. Adults are ultimately the best judge of the appropriateness for the young people they’ll bring with them, so if you have any questions about the content of our shows, please contact the Box Office at 202.332.3300. We’re happy to provide additional information to inform your decision.
In general, we advise against bringing children under the age of thirteen and do not allow babes in arms in our theatre.
There is a $4 per-ticket handling fee on all transactions. This fee is waived for subscribers.
Studio Theatre ticket prices are based on demand. Ticket prices vary based on day of the week, seating section, and how full a particular performance is; as dates get closer and performances fill up, prices may increase.
Discounts are available for groups of ten or more people, as well as seniors, active and retired military personnel, students, artists, and people under 30.

There are no refunds for tickets. Single Ticket purchasers can exchange up to 24 hours in advance of their performance and are subject to a $10 per-ticket exchange fee plus any difference in ticket price.
Subscribers are not subject to ticket exchange fees.
Day-of exchanges are not permitted.
Subscribers who are unable to use their tickets at the last minute may turn them in as a contribution to Studio Theatre. The value of the donated tickets is tax-deductible and acknowledged by mail. To qualify, you must turn in tickets at least 24 hours before the scheduled performance. Tickets for past performances cannot be considered a donation.
After opening, you may find out the running time and intermission information for each play by visiting the Plays section of our website and clicking on the production you are coming to see. Intermission information is also listed in your program, and is always available by calling the Box Office at 202.332.3300.
At a Studio performance, you’ll see all sorts of dress—from cocktail attire to business casual to jeans. The rule of thumb is to wear what makes you feel most comfortable.
During your visit, you or members of your family may be filmed, videotaped, and/or photographed by a Studio employee, contract photographer, or the media. Your attendance at Studio events serves as permission for the use of your image, or the image of your family members, by Studio to publicize our programs or facilities. Please contact the House Manager on duty if you have any questions or concerns about this policy.
