The coronavirus pandemic continues to take its toll on our country, our city, our theatrical community, and our operations. Right now, Studio is relying on contributed support to help bridge the revenue gap while our theatre remains dark to help flatten the curve and protect the safety of our staff, artists, and patrons. Over the next few months, we are calling on our community to help us sustain this critical financial support to get us through this crisis and ensure that we can successfully reopen when it is safe to do so.

If you have ever attended a performance at Studio that left you feeling moved or electrified…

If you remember when Studio put down roots at 14th and P Streets in Logan Circle in a declaration of faith and pride in our community…

If you have attended a free community program or public event at Studio…

If you appreciate contemporary theatre presented in small spaces—theatre that is thoughtful, powerful, and fearless…

Donate to Studio. Your support has never been more critical.

Currently, our company of arts administrators, crew, and technicians is our greatest asset and we are doing everything we can to support them. We are relying on contributions to help Studio cover:

  • Staff salaries so that we can keep the organization operational and focused on launching the 2020-2021 season
  • Health insurance costs for all of our employees
  • Fees to playwrights, directors, and designers who are already preparing for the 2020-2021 season so that it can proceed this fall as planned

Help Studio return strong. DONATE TODAY. Studio's Board of Directors has generously pledged $275,000 to establish our COVID-19 Relief Fund. Donate now to join them in helping Studio stand against this crisis.

"...a turning point..."
"...life-changing..."
"...a huge jumping off point..."

This is what playwrights say about working with Studio. When you consider what organizations or causes to support, know that when you donate to Studio, you support fresh voices in theatre. Join us in telling provocative stories, up close.
