Director of marketing and Communications

The Director of Marketing and Communications will report to the Managing Director but work closely with all members of the artistic staff. He/she will oversee a growing staff of full-time and part-time professionals and consultants specializing in marketing, public relations, customer service, database management and graphic design. The Director will focus on growing new audiences while retaining and deepening relationships with current audiences with an emphasis on implementing new products to encourage repeat attendance at Studio Theatre. Technical Director

Reporting directly with the Production Manager, the Technical Director will collaborating member of Studio Theatre’s production team on the planning and oversight of all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the scene shop and execution of all scenery for productions and presentations of Studio Theatre and other programming by Studio Theatre or on Studio’s premises, as assigned, and to maintain, install and operate scenic theatrical equipment and control consoles in all venues at Studio Theatre for all performances and events as assigned. Manager of individual giving

Studio Theatre, Washington’s premier venue for contemporary theatre, is seeking a creative and entrepreneurial Manager of Individual Giving to support its fundraising efforts. Reporting to the Director of Institutional Advancement, the Manager of Individual Giving will be responsible for management and successful execution of Studio’s individual giving programs and commensurate benefit fulfillment; oversight of major gifts activities, including maintenance of prospect management systems and development of cultivation strategies; management of the solicitation and acknowledgement process for all individual donors; development and execution of all multi-channel annual appeals; and development of individual giving strategy and solicitation for the Open Studio Campaign. The role will manage a gift portfolio of individuals giving $2,500 or more. The Manager of Individual Giving will also support the major giving efforts of the Director of Institutional Advancement, Managing Director, Artistic Director, and members of the Board and assist with fundraising events. Campaign Assistant 

Studio Theatre, Washington’s premier venue for contemporary theatre, is seeking a creative and entrepreneurial Campaign Assistant to support the comprehensive Open Studio Campaign. Reporting to the Manager of Institutional Advancement, this position plays an important role in supporting and driving all aspects of the Open Studio fundraising effort. The Campaign Assistant serves as the steward of Studio’s donor and prospect data, researches, provides administrative support, and assists the development staff in managing event logistics. The assistant will optimize the use of Studio’s arts enterprise software through sophisticated moves management, gift tracking, acknowledgements, and invoicing. This individual will work closely with the Director of Institutional Advancement and other members of development staff and executive leadership on all processes related to the Open Studio campaign, including gift process, direct and email campaigns, and data hygiene. The assistant will also liaise with the Marketing and Finance Departments in the creation of campaigns and reconciliation reports. Apply now.


The Subscriptions and Group Sales Assistant plays an important role in supporting Studio Theatre’s marketing and subscription efforts, focusing on group sales, subscription renewals and digital messaging. S/he will assist the Marketing Associate with email marketing strategies. S/he will support the execution of all institutional communications. Apply now. 


The Staff Carpenter will report to the Technical Director and will be responsible for working with the scene shop staff to build, load-in, and strike for up to (11) AEA Studio Theatre productions per year in any of the 4 venues used as performance spaces, and to maintain scene shop equipment in all venues at Studio Theatre. Hospitality Team Member

Hospitality Team Members will be trained to support the entire guest experience operations of Studio Theatre, including ticketing, food service, bartending, merchandising, lobby experience, and management of the audience to ensure that guests are seated correctly, the shows can start on time, and the patron experience is excellent from beginning to end.
