spring Benefit

This season's annual benefit celebrates playwright Aaron Posner's bold Studio R&D commissioned Chekhovian adaptation of No Sisters. Posner explores the screwed up, endlessly fascinating psyches of Chekhov's lovelorn, world-weary misfits and broken dreamers in a wildly funny play about wildly unhappy people. The evening will feature a seated dinner of DC's finest cuisine, pre-show conversations with playwright and director Aaron Posner and Artistic Director David Muse, and a private viewing of No Sisters

Taste of Studio

The 2nd Annual Taste of Studio was on Saturday, August 6. This celebration featured bites and sips from the neighborhood’s best bars and eateries, as well as unique theatrical elements, mini-workshops, and Studio Flea—our annual garage sale. Taste of Studio celebrates and supports the Theatre’s community engagement initiatives.

Gala

Studio’s Annual Gala is our largest fundraising event of the season. Each year, our in-house design team transforms our four-theatre complex into an immersive wonderland centered on a new theme. Guests get to explore Studio in a whole new light, enjoy a scrumptious, themed dinner, and delight in a one-night-only performance in the style and spirit of Studio’s provocative, irreverent programming.

Fool's Paradise
A Gala Celebration of All Things Foolish

Inspired by the launch of Studio X, the evening of April 1, 2016 was a celebration of the bold, unexpected, and irreverent wherein guests explored a multi-level, immersive playground and interacted with roving, costumed performers. The event also featured a cabaret performance by Christine Dwyer (Broadway: Wicked, Rent; Studio: Murder Ballad). Explore photos from Fool's Paradise: A Gala Celebration of all Things Foolish.
