Studio's Annual Fall Benefit event has been moved to the spring in order to coincide with the world premiere of our commissioned project, No Sisters, by Aaron Posner. The evening will feature a seated dinner catered by EatWell DC, a pre-show conversation celebrating new work at Studio, and a private viewing of No Sisters.
All proceeds from this year's Spring Benefit support Studio R&D, an ambitious initiative that supports the development of new work at Studio through commissions, world premiere productions, and extended residencies for playwrights.
Single tickets: $250 each
Spring Benefit $2,000 Sponsorship includes:
- Six (6) tickets to the pre-show dinner and performance of Aaron Posner’s No Sisters
- A copy of the No Sisters script, signed by the cast and playwright
- Recognition in the Spring Benefit program
About No Sisters
Aaron Posner has crafted his latest re-imagined Chekhov to radically intersect with its Russian progenitor. While Three Sisters plays out in one theatre, half the cast is also performing upstairs in another: Same building, different theatre... No Sisters! While Olga, Masha, and Irina yearn for Moscow, the rest of the household and its hangers-on grapple with their own heartache and longing, bit players in a world whose focus is elsewhere. No Sisters explores the screwed up, endlessly fascinating psyches of Chekhov’s lovelorn, world-weary misfits and broken dreamers in a wildly funny play about wildly unhappy people. Commissioned as a part of Studio R&D, Studio Theatre’s new works initiative. Learn more.
