Studio Theatre update on COVID-19 as of June 19, 2020
To our patrons and community,
To ensure the safety of its artists, patrons, and staff during the ongoing uncertainty and threat posed by COVID-19, Studio Theatre will begin its subscription season in January 2021 with a truncated four-play 2020-2021 season.
Here is what this means for you:
OPTIONS FOR TICKETHOLDERS
If you have already renewed your subscription, the value of your tickets to one Main Series play and two Studio X productions—which are no longer included our 2020-2021 season—have been added as a credit on your account.
Fill out this form to let us know what you would like to do with these tickets. There are a number of options available to you:
If you had tickets to canceled 2019-2020 season productions—including Pass Over, Fun Home, and Aspen Ideas—and have not already done so, complete this form by June 30, 2020 to let us know what you would like to do with your tickets. After that deadline, we will assume that you want the tickets to remain a credit on your account.
Canceling performances—let alone closing its facilities entirely—places tremendous financial strain on any theatre. Together with Studio Theatre's Board of Directors, our patron have helped to raise $545,000 to help us brace against this crisis, resume our work on stage quickly, and retain as many members of our team as possible during this prolonged period of being closed to the public.

Dark in July. In order to continue producing live theatre and presenting the riveting stories that have become Studio's hallmark, we made the difficult decision to furlough most of our staff from June 29 – July 24, 2020. This helps to ensure that we can retain as many team members as possible. Various team members will be taking care of critical business during this time, but please expect to wait longer than usual for a response if you contact one of our staff during this timeframe.
Virtual Box Office: Our Box Office is working remotely. Phones are open Tuesday – Friday from Noon – 4 p.m. The Box Office can be reached at 202.332.3300 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Bear with us as we process a higher than normal call volume.
Closed to the public: Our building will remain closed to the public for the foreseeable future, until DC government deems it safe to reopen.
Work from home. We are implementing a “work from home” policy for all non-critical staff.

Will I receive a receipt for my donation?
Yes, but please bear with us. We’re processing a high volume of changes to ticket orders and are working through them as quickly as we can. Receipts will be issued in the coming weeks.
Can my credit be used for future seasons at Studio?
Yes, the balance on your account will be good for future seasons.
Can my credit be used towards my subscription?
If you have not paid, or are in the process of a payment plan, you can use your credit towards your subscription.

Can I get refund?
Yes, we are offering full refunds back to the cards used for the initial purchase. Refunds generally take 7-10 business days to show up on your bank statement.
Can I choose to donate a portion of the value of my tickets and keep the rest on account or get it refunded?

Will you be offering a streamed version of Pass Over, Fun Home, or Aspen Ideas?
No, we will not be streaming versions of our plays.
