Student Opportunities

  • The glass atrium at the center of the building serves as a student lounge.

  • Student restrooms and vending machines are located between the Conservatory elevator and Studio D.

  • Bike parking is located next to the main elevator. Please use your bike locks. The Conservatory is not responsible for lost or stolen property.

  • The Conservatory kitchen, equipped with refrigerator and microwave is available for your usage.

  • The bulletin board located outside Studio B has useful information for acting students. Please be sure to check it each week.

  • Payphones and water fountains are located on the first floor (next to the box office) and on the second floor (next to the ladies restroom in the Milton lobby.)

  • The Conservatory is not responsible for students’ personal belongings. A lost and found is kept by The Studio Theatre’s Administrative Assistant, (202) 232-7267.

  • Students are eligible for a $5.00 discount on tickets to The Studio Theatre.  To get the discount, identify yourself as a student when you call the box office, (202) 332-3300.  They will verify your current status from their database.

  • The Studio Theatre also offers student rush tickets. These are available one half-hour before performances. Students can receive 50% off tickets, depending on availability of seats.

  • Discount and student rush applies to the student’s ticket only, and is not valid for performances on Saturday evenings or for The Studio Theatre 2ndStage productions.

  • Students very often get the chance to see performances at The Studio Theatre and at The Studio Theatre 2ndStage for FREE. Notification of FREE tickets is usually done via mass email to current students. FREE tickets are not pre-planned. They are usually announced with short notice and are on a space available, first-come basis.
